You already know what it is. I am from Louisville and I was influenced to start making noise by The Dead Boys, Angry Samoans, Reagan Youth, Screeching Weasel, the Stooges etc. I joined my first band The Shanks when I was 19, joined the Sickies a year later, and filled in on drums with Half Sloppy for a minute. I am told that I have a style like Charlie Watts, probably because I hold my sticks like he does (I just copied his style when I was coming up, I had no other point of refernce. It's lazy I know...).
You already know what it is. I am a former Old Louisville resident and I was influenced to start making noise by The Dead Boys, Angry Samoans, Reagan Youth, Screeching Weasel, Warzone, The Stooges, etc. I dropped out of school in seventh grade, and hitched and hopped trains accross the country until I contracted the clap, TB, whooping cough, and gonorrhea forcing me to spend years in bed hooked up to a respirator (think that freak bubble boy) until I was well enough and then spent months of pysical therapy learning to walk again and adjusting to a rod in my leg that was crushed when I miscalculated a jump onto a train. After my bed sores healed I joined my first band The Shanks when I was 18, and somehow join the Sickies a year later when I filled in for them at a Punkfest at Tek World. I also played with Half Sloppy for a minute. I am told that I have a style like Charlie Watts, probably because I hold my sticks all jazzy n' shit like he does (I jacked his style when I was coming up, I had no other point of reference. It's lazy I know...).
As much as I like fast food chains, speed, hopelessness that spreads like a heart infection, watching everyone insult my friends behind their backs and having the same done to me I am sure, I moved to Austin Texas on January 1st, 2005. I still love all my friends back home but Louisville is no good for me. I am currently in a band called the Saint Street Brawlers, we have been known to brawl up and down the block with a blunt, a philly blunt that is and a fourty in our laps. OK.
As much as I like minimal culture, bathtub crank, impending feeling of hopelessness that spreads like Hep C on a dirty rig entering a collapsed vein, watching everyone insult my each other behind their backs and having the same done to me I am sure, I moved to Austin Texas on January 1st, 2005. I still have repesct and love all my friends back home but Louisville is no good for me. I am currently in a band called the Saint Street Brawlers in Austin. OK.
