ARCH has been performing in and around its Louisville, Kentucky home since 2002, but its members were making their mark in the local music scene long before then. Mark Abromavage (guitar) played for such legendary Louisville bands as Malignant Growth, Fading Out (Drag City Records), and Caroline recording artist Kinghorse, whose debut album was produced by Glenn Danzig. Jerry Cunningham (bass) was also in Kinghorse during its later stages, and gained tremendous experience touring and recording with the band. Soon thereafter, Cunningham began playing and writing with fellow Louisvillians Alex Rose (drums) and Paul Helvey (guitar/vocals), both of whom were huge Kinghorse fans, and the trio eventually formed Adaptor. ARCH rose from the ashes of all of those bands, along with some others not worth mentioning, but has now refined a sound that goes beyond the members’ previous endeavors.

ARCH combines the melodic nuance of 70’s guitar rock with a progressive edge and a socially poignant message. The music and words are honest; there is no façade. ARCH. Abromavage, Rose, Cunningham, Helvey. In memory of rock and roll.
