Cadaver In Drag is a grind/doom band currently consisting of Jason "Slim" Schuler (vokills/strings/electronics) and Josh Lay (drums/vokills/electronics). Both members were in the metalcore/grind band Modern Day Holocaust which broke up around 2001. Cadaver's sound is influenced by early Napalm Death and the evil slant of the Southern Lord label as much as the current state of Michigan noise (Wolf Eyes, Hive Mind, Mammal, Kults, etc.). The group has done two tours in 2005 while doing cassette/cd-r labels. Jason does small run cassettes and cd-rs under the moniker Blood Red while Josh heads up the label Husk. Hanson Distribution recently hailed Cadaver In Drag as the "scummiest metal band in America".
