City Of Ghosts:Ikiryoh

From Louisville Punk/Hardcore History

5 song, 2002 release by City Of Ghosts, recorded by Tyler Trotter at the Strike City House.

From the old RKT 327 site:

Loud, angular indie rock, with an emphasis on the rock part. Recorded by Tyler Trotter at the Strike City house in Louisville. Cover concept by Abigail Gardner, art by Paula Decanini, and layout by Mike and Syd. More: Ikiyoh is a Japanese word which refers to the ghost of an entity's anger, and its obviously not something we can exorcise with ease. This EP was recorded during a tumultuous period in the band's existence and signified a middle ground between where we had been and where we were going. Due in large part to this recording, we've drawn comparisons to a diverse selection of bands including King Crimson, Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Pink Floyd, Slint, Don Cab, The Jesus Lizard, Primus, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, and Man or Astroman?. Although we can't personally see all of these, you be the judge. - Syd.
