Heroless
words/music: Jeremy

Always wanting to peek around your shoulder,
Not wanting to take what’s meant for you.
Doesn’t matter if your problems are growing like weeds,
As long as someone else knows what to do.

Staring in the mirror can’t take you away,
Waiting for it to drop from the skies.
that nice strong arm in the nick of time,
Can’t save you from the evil in disguise.

That blanket of yours, it isn’t made of stell,
Buy you don’t want to have to watch your back.
The skeleton key to the dark side is to keep unblinking eyes,
It’s all your fault your hope has faded to black.

Instead of standing still when you know your fate,
The statues where amde for that, they’ve stood their ground.
The white horse and the sunset aren’t a part of the puzzle,
Since there are no heroes around.
