"Born in a humid laundry room in an old St. Catherine building, Genius Car rocked the city for one night and one night only. They practice their style of rock/country, or alternative/folk, or whatever, for months, finally unleashing it in a so-so performance to a packed crowd at Old Louisville Coffee House. Despite acclaim from various friends and stoners, the band dissolved by summer of '06, due to lack of a practice space. Members have gone on to start such groups as The Bloody Condoms, Hell Fuck Yeah, and to study mathematics/make babies. But some local coffee drinkers will never forget the night that they saw the band that showed what it would sound like..."if Wilco and Sonic Youth had a baby, and named it Genius Car." - Brad, (not a) press release
