The site was run primarily by Mike Girilaco(sp?) and [[Allison Cooke]] (hence the name Short & Ugly productions that was one the page), with assistance from [[Thommy Browne]] and [[Jamie Miller]]. The site folded around 2000-2001 after taking a hard hit from the owners of [[TekWorld]], a local venue that focused on nu-metal and metal. The owners, Percy and Jennifer Yee, were buying up all the local music domains that they could, and before the LMI renewed their domain name, the Yees had bought it out from under them, and would sell it back.. for a thousand dollars. Not being worth it, the LMI found a new URL, but struggled to get back up to it's earlier prominence.

the Louisville Music index was a long-running website that hosted information on upcoming shows, information on venues and bands, and had snippets of information/rumors about local bands...

the site started off at the Louisville show page at http://members.tripod.com/~Lville and run by Amanda Moore. She last around 6-8 months before turning the site over to some other kids.

The site was run primarily by Mike Giralico and Allison Cooke (hence the name Short & Ugly productions that was one the page), with assistance from Thommy Browne and Jamie Miller. The site folded around 2000-2001 after taking a hard hit from the owners of TekWorld, a local venue that focused on nu-metal and metal.

At the end, the site was (in a way), replaced by Society Of No and Louisville Showcase.
