Shedding

From Louisville Punk/Hardcore History

Paden ended and I was heartbroken. I wanted to be sure to always be doing something solo so as not to be 'held back' by others not being as focused as me. (Jilted lover kind of thing...) Tim Furnish had been getting me into all kinds of great musics like Cluster, Harmonia, Mouse on Mars, and on and on, and I wanted to explore things that others didn't seem so interested in. I got to know this great guy from Copenhagen named Voks who was a great help and along with Tim got me rolling doing stuff on the computer. Since 2001 now I have been totally obsessed with making various styles of abstract music on the laptop/electronics side of things. I finally just recently (summer of 2004) got an acoustic guitar following the ending of a lovely relationship and have been working on some acoustic guitar songs as the itch has begun for something a bit more 'pure' and approachable. They please me.

Basically, Shedding is anything I want, I don't want to be labelled and I'd like to do everything under one name as long as it is just me. I am inspired by everything in this world: anything I touch, smell, hear, see, or taste. Still going to plan as of now.

I've toured a couple times in the midwest, made it up to the northeast a bit, and Europe. I've got a 12" of live electronics improvs on Home Tapes, a CDr of field recordings on Autumn Records out, and an mp3 edition on Datamusik out. More stuffs on the way...
