	Taken by the Sea, or TBTS, started in early 2007 as Ignite the Ashes by guitarist Billy Renck, vocalist Alicia Dosset, & drummer Dustin Pittman. A few weeks later guitarist Tim Mobley & vocalist George Gottler were added to the lineup. In July 2007 bassist Scott Holston & Zack Macaione joined round out the bass-less & newly drummer-less lineup. In September 2007 vocalist George Gottler was let go leaving screaming duties to Tim. In October 2007 vocalist Alicia Dosset was let-go in the midst of a change of style. As Tim tired of lead vocals, Jimmy Portella was added to get the job done. In February 2008 Brian Cole was added as second vocalist. TBTS has opened up for Liferuiner, Portugal. The Man, Foxy Shazam, Eyes Set to Kill, & many others.
