This is the best bio I've ever read. - Roman

A few words about this store.

I was the last to manage NRM store #46, and I want to take this opertunity to appologize to the entire community for NRM's lack of focus, and lack of tool needed to run the store(s) properly. At the same time there is only so much fault that can be givin to such a missled company.

I have to take my share of responsability in the downfall of this store #46 itself. I as well lost focus do to many reasons, lack of money for employees that truly deserved it, lack of time to train correctly, too many theft issues which were hard to control, and stress.

I always dreamed of being a record store manager and that dream did come true, but reallity set in when I found that couldn't run store in my vision. Loose, relaxed, and fun atmosphere. I always wanted to run the store like it was an indy store, and but what I thought was fun and trying to kid around ended up hurting feelings and then the loss of employees, do to the stress when it came down to it. I am sorry to all the employees that were hurt by me. Anyone that truly knows me, knows I wasn't myself, at that stage, but yet it is not an excuse.

The customers, I really tried to give the place a fresher freer feel when I got there. My hand was force on many of occasion do to the theft issues, and do to corporate wanting the Passport Music Program shoved down everones throats. The idea was that if you were a memeber you'd keep coming back to get your free shit when it was time, but very few cared, everyone just wanted to buy a cd and get out, I think I would have bbeen a friendlier person to each and everyone one of the Customers/Guests is that damn music program wasn't an issue, and working 65-80 something hrs. a week didn't help any either. I am very sorry if I ever made a customer feel uncomfortable becasue of no fault of your own, or that I didn't seem as friendly as I should have been. Again I was not the same person I normally would have been at that time.

I conclusion, That store was a huge success because of one main person Andy Mercer. You should still know him if you shop at Ear-X-Tacy. I'd like to stop in and say hi, but I think I've burnt too many bridges to do that and anyone feel comfortable about it. I know noboy really understand how truly sorry I feel for everything that happened at that store, but I am, and reflecting on it, I know I've become a better person know I did this wrong a learned from my mistakes.

Going out of business sale.

I remember when NRM was having their going out of business sale my wife (then girlfriend) bought me a copy of Quicksand's "Manic Compression" as a gift. She paid $.99 for it. That may be the best dollar she's ever spent. -paul
