The Alta Minor: n; an automobile collision, a plane crash, or a train wreck, where not one person is killed or injured. everything positive, optimistic, good, calm, and serene. ANT: The Peril Major, negative, pessimistic, evil.
started in late summer of 2003, The Alta Minor was begun by ex-Kathleen Barbra members Stephen Mandlehr and Eric Yoder. Maintaining an atmospheric and organic sound, stephen stays mostly to clean/distorted guitar and vocals, while Eric surfaces the spine with percussion and bass as well as ambient and effected guitars.
Although, The Alta Minor has not yet played out anywhere in Louisville, they have several songs recorded and awaiting internet release.
