The Big Bang (as a band, not a theory) formed during the summer of 1996 in the horse-loving, baseball-bat-making, indie-rock-oasis of Louisville, Kentucky. Employing the standard rock instrumentation of bass, guitar and drums (held-down by Ryan Stratton, Greg Livingston and Jason Anderson, respectively) the band created songs which dealt with personal experiences, as well as Hawking-esque theories of space and time. Though only together a year, The Big Bang managed to record a handful of demos and play a limited number of shows before disbanding in the fall of 1997.

Their webpage is preserved for posterity at http://www.ryanstratton.com/thebigbang/ complete with MP3s.
