Thrashasaurs Rex was created at the end of the Summer in 2002. It consisted of frontman [[Sasha Thackery]] who wanted to start a thrash band that didn't care if they looked cool, sounded good, or were moshilicious. Looking to put politics back into Louisville hardcore, Sasha found guitarist [[Dylan Smither]] and drummer [[Josh Raff]] to join his thrash attack. One bassist [[Bryan Volz]] joined the team was complete and played a ridiculous first show at the Clifton Unitarian church with tons of dancing kids. For the following 8 Months the Rex was known to play in punk houses, stair wells, churches, American Legion Halls, and even a couple of Lexington shows. Internal strife among band members caused the band to come to an abrupt end leaving behind a short legacy of sleeve hats and insane shows. A live CD was released as well as a DVD featuring three of the band's most memorable shows.
