King G and the J Crew was the precursor to Rodan, among other things. Fronted by Greg King (King G), Jeff Mueller, Jason Noble (The J Crew), the band released a CD called Songs of the Humpack Whale. Also featured was a Slint/Midnight Starr medly on a Slamdek Christmas 1992 album.
Many people contributed to the CD, including Will Chatham, Tim Furnish, Simon Furnish, and more.
