Charlie's was the place in the mid to late 80s for pizza and punk. Located on Bardstown Road right before the corner of Highland Ave it was famous for peanutbutter pizza and easy access to the beer regardless of your age. (where Jack Fry's kitchen is now), the venue hosted a mess of bands as well as occasionally sleeping quarters for some punks. Apparently, the owner Charlie Butterfield was a great guy and Mama Jan has been spotted around town to this day. Yeahhhhh baby!! Charlies Ruled!
