"Born in the humid laundry room of an old St. Catherine building, Genius Car rocked the city for one night and one night only. They practiced their style of rock/country, or alternative/folk, or whatever, for months, finally unleashing it in a nervous performance to a half-packed crowd at Old Louisville Coffee House. Despite acclaim from various friends and stoners, the band dissolved by summer of '05, due to lack of a practice space. Members have gone on to start groups such as The Bloody Condoms, Hell Fuck Yeah, and to study mathematics/make babies. But some local coffee drinkers/members of the Commonwealth will never forget the night that they saw the band that showed what it would sound like..."if Wilco and Sonic Youth had a baby, and named it Genius Car." - Brad, (not a) press release
