The Machine was a venue located in St. Matthews (4121 Shelbyville Road to be exact) in the east end of Louisville during the early/mid 90s. The venue was crafted out of the remains of a Photon facility, and was quite large (10,000 sq. feet). It had formerly been known as CD Graffiti's. Weekly shows brought in kids from all over the area, and the parking lot was frequently teeming with kids, much to local residents dismay (St. Matthews has a bunch of stuck up older folks). When the venue closed, St. Matthews enacted strict ordinances to ban that kind of place popping up ever again.
