Jason, Jeremy, Matt, and Robby began playing together between 1995 and 96. They wanted to start an official band but had no singer and no name. Being HEAVILY inspired by bands like: Lifetime ,Quicksand,& Split Lip - The foursome quickly wrote a set & started looking for a singer . Without a singer , the nameless group played a basement show with soon to be friends - *Castner . Certain soon to be Louisville legends were at the show as very young men as well : Billy Trinkle,Brad Reardon,Corey Smith,Marc Fulkerson,Jamie Leslie & a few others . After this show - Castner played its first official show , at The Toys For Tots benefit ; in the first Ground Zero basement. It was also Elliotts first show & Enkindel headlined . During Castners set they announced our new band was looking for a singer - & Rusty Varisco stepped forward . The rest is Emo history .
