A true sign of manhood, beards have been prevalent in Louisville for well over a century. You can find beards on many musicians, artists, and other participants in the Louisville underground music scene. Many vegetarians like to have beards because they can store old carrots and lentils in the forest of hair just below their chins -- the curtain of fuzzy hair protects and nurtures the vegetable matter in a symbiotic relationship that simply does not exist between beard hair and meat products.
Ryan Patterson stores an extra microphone in his beard.
