Kangaroo was formed in 2005, initially as a continuation of the defunct [[Stop Motion]].  The final lineup was not cemented until late 2006, and Kangaroo returned to playing shows around Louisville with great frequency.  Members of Kangaroo are or have been involved in many other bands including [[Stop Motion]], [[Vo La Tik]], [[Hotel Roy]], The Broken Rhythm, [[Squijit]] (later Sequoya), [[Nowhere Fast]], [[Spite 36]], and [[G'Noggin]].
