from what I hear, the Slow Suicide's first and only performance at the venue was nothing short of hilarious, with [[Shawn Severs]] getting up to talk before their set about how he used to live in the apartments next door and the church leaders used to run him off for skating and listening to "the devil's music", church goers would beat the shit out of him, and the church funded some shitty stuff. He was especially angry because they were now starting the place to use the music they once gave him shit about to indoctrinate the youth of the area. [[Ganthet]] was asked to play here and after a bit of discussion (we were all atheists), we went for it. There was a surprising number of kids there so we expected that this would be one of the rare times that we'd get paid. From what I hear, The Slow Suicide's first and only performance at the venue was nothing short of hilarious, with Shawn Severs getting up to talk before their set about how he used to live in the apartments next door and the church leaders used to run him off for skating and listening to "the devil's music", church goers would beat the shit out of him, and the church funded some shitty stuff. He was especially angry because they were now starting the place to use the music they once gave him shit about to indoctrinate the youth of the area. The 'suicide was not asked back. - Bryan Volz.

Ganthet was asked to play here and after a bit of discussion (we were all atheists), we went for it. There was a surprising number of kids there so we expected that this would be one of the rare times that we'd get paid. We're hanging around our merch table until the end of the show and the guy who booked the show hasn't been seen for quite a while. Jared finally found him outside and was told that - surprise! the show was now to be a fundraiser for the guy to 'move to New York City and start a new mission'. Just what NYC needed. Of course, that was not well received by the band or our friends that were there and leaving out some details, we were certainly never asked back. - Bryan Volz
