RIP Skull Alley

Skull Alley is/was located in Louisville's Paristown Poine neighborhood - just off the corner of Broadway and Barrett Ave. The address is/was 1017 E. Broadway in a building renovated just for the venue and associated screen printing operation. Opened in 2008 by Jamie Prott and Allyson Lowery, the venue sought to fill a place in Louisville musical landscape as well as serve as a memorial to Dylan Prott.

After two and a half years, an almost uncountable number of shows, and achieving many goals, Skull Alley closed up shop on December 31st, 2010. The final show featured The Foxery, Young Lions, Black God (Their live debut), Reading Group and Lemuria (Who played the very first Skull Alley show in June 2008).

An indie/folk venue called Uncle Slayton's would take it's place and last roughly two years as well. Since then the space has become a rotating door of odd businesses.
