Founded by Ted Palmer in 1993, Union (originally Lighthouse) played varous venues and festivals throughout Louisville, and regularly played with [[Falling Forward]] in Bloomington, Indiana in the early 1990's.  The first time the original members stepped into a room together (Dylan's basement), the event was recorded and released as "Hausenfeffer II: Gloop Time".  10 copies were made and sold to unsuspecting youngsters at the Zodiac.  A demo was recorded at DSL in 1994, and a track from that appeared on Conspiracy 8A.  Ted left the band in 1995 to pursue other interests, and [[Gary Bell]] stepped in.
