[[Madison]] stared out of the two bands : [[Counterpart]] ([[Jason Balicki]], [[Jeremy Holehan]], [[Jaime Leslie]]) &  [[Harvest]] ([[Robby Scott]], [[Matt Hellmich]]) After the bands had played together a few times during 95 - 96 . Balicki, Holehan , Scott, & Hellmich started practicing together in Matt's parents basement . Being HEAVILY inspired by bands like: LIFETIME ,Snapcase,Quicksand,Gathering Ground,& Split Lip - The foursome quickly wrote a set & started looking for a singer . Without a singer , the nameless group played a basement show with soon to be friends - *[[Castner]] . Certain soon to be Louisville legends were at the show as very young men as well : [[Billy Trinkle]],[[Brad Reardon]],[[Corey Smith]],[[Marc Fulkerson]],[[Jamie Leslie]] & a few others .  After this show - Castner played its first official show , at The Toys For Tots benefit  ; in the first Ground Zero basement. It was also Elliotts first show & [[Enkindel]] headlined . During Castners set they announced our new band was looking for a singer - & [[Rusty Varisco]] stepped forward . The rest is Emo history .
