Josh started going to shows at [[Skam Impaired]]'s reunion show. He got involved in [[The Brycc House]] and was a board member until the building was sold and the name was changed. He began to play drums in bands at the end of 2002 and played his first shows in [[Thrashasaurus Rex]] and [[Three Nails For Lotsa Profit]]. Josh created the [[Injection]] fanzine his sophomore year of highschool, with interviews with Black Cross and Against Me. He collected interviews from Champion and Outbreak for a second issue, but never got around to printing it. He took a drumming break in the summer of 2003 due to scoliosis surgery. After his recovery he resumed playing with the newly formed [[Ganthet]]. In his senior year of highschool he was coaxed into joining  [[Swish]], which was started specifically to not have him in it. In the summer of 2006 he met Alex McCloud at a party and upon talking with him, was invited to play drums in [[Crusher]]. He left Louisville in August 2006 to attend the School of Design at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh.
Is a damn good illustrator.
