Positive Emotive Hardcore. Nice People was formed when members of  [[I Choose Danger]] decided that they would still like to play music together. They practiced and wrote some songs (as well as worked on some former I Choose Danger songs) and Nice People was formed. They asked [[Duncan Cherry]] to sing for them a little over a month before their first show. They put great emphasis on "making it happen" a phrase that can be applied to anything, but commonly used to having fun and trying to build a community.
