Dying for the Cause was an ill-fated attempt at a youth crew hardcore band. Dylan Prott, Dylan Smither and Cameron Smither from Three Nails For Lotsa Profit came together with Ian Pollock (somehow) to play the originals that the Dylans and Cameron wrote for TNFLP. They broke up in July 2003 due to conflicts over whether or not the band was or should be or is a Straight Edge band. In that short spanse of time they played roughly 15 shows, including playing at The Sleep Chamber about every other day, annoying the hell out of the people who worked there. Dylan Prott went on to form Pocket Bomb while Dylan Smither and Cameron Smither took a few DFTC songs and started Ganthet.
