Self Destruct was a record label instrumental in building the Louisville music scene of the late 80s/early 1990s. History sometimes puts the label in the shadow of Slamdek, but SD represented a dirtier, gritter side of the hardcore scene in contrast to Slamdek's usually cleaner, slicker bands and releases.
The label was named after Brett Ralph's earlier zine of the same name.
The label had a short-lived resurgence in the early 2010s.
