Six Mile Island was formed in 1998, founded by [[Billy Halter]], after he parted ways with [[Enkindel]], and [[Jeff Roos]] who had relocated to Louisville from Chicago after leaving the band Breakeven. The two soon teamed up with former [[Blangk]] guitarist [[John Ising]], and [[Kill for Kim]] bassist [[Garrett Petters]]. The band played several shows, and recorded eight songs during two different recording sessions. The band dissolved right when they were beginning to take off after [[Jeff Roos]] was forced to move back to Chicago due to personal reasons. There has been talk about the songs being released on a CD sometime in 2006 on a new, and as yet unnamed, Louisville record label. |
