Self Destruct was a record label instrumental in building the Louisville music scene of the early 1990s. History sometimes puts the label in the shadow of Slamdek, but SD represented a dirtier, gritter side of the early/mid 90s hardcore scene in contrast to Slamdek's usually cleaner, slicker bands and releases.
