The origional Don Q Trio had an entirely different lineup of Herb and many of his friends who spent time drinking and recording songs throughout high school.
This version of The Don Q Trio was formed by the remaining members of Erchint when Dan told Chico he could sing and they tried him out. This was obviously NOT Erchint so a new name was decided upon which was actually an old name that Herb and the band liked. The origional songs were written when Chico gave Herb a copy of Weezer's Pinkerton and said "Listen to this and write some songs."
The band was around from shortly after the final demise of Erchint until early 1997.
