Heavily influenced by the louisvile math rock sound, Brim brought music to a new generation of do it yourself rockers.
Originally started as a way to escape the winter months down in the depths of Mike Lausman's parents basement, Brim soon found themsleves ready to be taken seriously.  The original outfit consisted of Mike Lausman on guitar, Jason Thompson on bass and Chris Shaugnessy on drums.  Soon after forming Brandon Trotter stopped by and noodled his way through the disjointed bluesy riffs to their delight.  Chris soon left and was replaced by Brett Holsclaw.
