Indie, punk and prog influenced band of high schoolers. Music in the vein of Braid, Hey Mercedes, King for a Day, Fairweather and the like. Made a full length, and two E.P.s. Used to be called Holden Caulfield. No lineup changes whatsoever. (2002-2004)

(From Stephen): The Writing Scar came along in a time of some great changes- changes in us as friends and musicians; changes in the styles of music that were deemed acceptable by the people who are big-headed enough to believe that they can make that call; and changes in our friends, and the greater group dynamic.

The Writing Scar had the opportunity to become the soundtrack for some lives, and our music was apparently appreciated by some. To those listeners, we thank you more than you know.

TWS forever.
