Barretones was a small bar that sat under the Barret Bar, a pool hall. It was a cozy place that got some relatively big name out of town acts including American Analog Set, as well as a variety of local bands including J Kessinger and the Verlaines.
I remember the bartender (owner?) being fond of Jesus Christ Superstar covers.
