HMV is a national chain record store. It's inclusion in this history is only in regards to the HMV store that was located in the St. Matthews Mall on Shelbyville Rd in the mid/late 1990s. The store's assistant manager was [[Matt Brown]], and he hooked up a number of punk and hardcore releases to be sold at this store, as well as helping hook up the only punk show ever to be in St. Matthews Mall. [[The Enkindels]] played their 1st real show as The Enkindels inside this store in October of 1997 (a video clip of this show can be found on LHxC.com in the near future). The show was insane, and had a humongus turnout (at least 600 people for one band). Unfortunantly, tons of CDs were stolen from the store, as well as shelves being broken, and there was never a show there again.
