Positron initially started as a band under the name The Naked Conspiracies with the personnel of:

Andrew Turner- guitar, keyboards, vocals, bass, percussion Pete Isgrigg- bass, guitar, vocals, percussion Eric Stuart- guitar, vocals John Hill- drums

The sound was a blend of Juno, Modest Mouse, Karp, and Slayer. Obviously, it didn't catch on with the neighbors and Positron mostly disbanded except for Andrew and Pete, who were roommates at the time.

They played one real show at the BRYCC House with the Rapture, and the lineup at that time was:

Andrew Turner- vocals, guitar, keyboards, samples Pete Isgrigg- bass, guitar, vocals, samples

The set was well-received, especially considering it was originally supposed to be played by the Blue Goat War, the main band of both Positron members at the time... and especially considering they wrote all four songs in about eight hours before the show.

Another impromptu show was played at Twice Told Coffeehouse before it relocated to Buckner. It involved about half an hour of theremin and guitar noise, a few random samples (I believe "Rock You Like A Hurricane" was played as an intro), and one busted Samick amplifier.

Attempts have been made over the past few years to resurrect the short-lived noise rock beast, with little success.
