Almost all of my favorite memories of the Compound involve Bill T. His record collection, toy musical instrument collection, and early internet access insured that I spent more time in his room than in my own. My favorite moment of all was the time I came home from the bar one night to find Bill trapped in Sean and Dawn's mail jeep, pleading with me to help release him. It was unlocked. I helped Bill to his room, then crashed myself only to be roused minutes later by an incessant squeaking. I arose to find Bill violently shaking the railing of the stairwell leading to our apartment. Before I could utter "Bill, What The Fuck"!! The railing broke, sending Bill tumbling down the stairs and into the doorway of the downstairs apt. that my brother had insulated with a mattress to keep the noise from upstairs to a minimum. By the time I reached Bill at the bottom, he was sound asleep. I left him there.

There was also the time Bill nailed cheese to the kitchen wall. And the time he stoppered his Foster's beer can with cheese. And of course the filming of The Show of Shows was a blast. The looks we got from Tara Jane O'Neil and Cynthia Nelson, who Sean was interviewing while we filmed the "There's A New Girl Next Door To Me" segment, were wildly satisfying.
