Interstates was formed by Alex O'Nan in 1996. After assuming several different names over the last ten years, 'Interstates' was selected as the band prepared to play shows in and around Louisville early 2007. Their music achieves the qualities of IDM and progressive rock / angular rock by mixing electoric programming with live drums and electric guitar. The band's line up changes frequently but usually features friends and family members of O'Nan.
