Pete Adams
Pete was involved with Brat Magazine from 1997-1998. He wrote an article on the riots in Memphis following a Klan protest in Memphis, January 1998, and an article on racistism in his neighborhood. Pete was involved in the first meetings for a youth center which later became the BRYCC House and eventually became what is now called the Brick House in Old Louisville. Before joining Brat Magazine Pete was involved with CAYA (Clifton Area Youth Association) helped put on shows, and made show flyers. He also helped HNYB (Highland Neighborhood Youth Board) put on shows. Pete was an active member in ARA and the Anti-Curfew rallies. In the fall 1998 Pete went on to Eastern Kentucky University to pursue a degree in Broadcasting. He then came back in 2000 to be involved in BRYCC Radio, he was a staff DJ. Pete eventually finished college at Vincennes University(Vincennes,Indiana) with a degree in Music/Audio Recording, in spring of 2004. He is currently involved with WXBH (Brick radio) and soon to record bands and artists at the brick house for charity. Pete (bass) is also in a Folk/Rock duo called Man With Wings with college friend Ansyn Strickland (guitar/vocals). Man Wing Wings have played at open mic night at Molly Malone’s and other bars and coffee around Louisville.
