The Shanks
From Louisville Punk/Hardcore History

Pop-punk along the lines of Screeching Weasel and the Queers (Joe said he liked our demo), it's a midwest thing... We were number one on LRS's local show for a month straight with Drug Addict Girl, played Twice Told, Tek World, and the Rud with a vengence, but never toured due to schedule conflicts. We did play a few out of town shows (Ohio and Indiana reprazent!). We quit playing after the album fell through (FUCK CAPITALISM RECORDS. Who? Exactly.) and the members became disillusioned and moved on with other projects and life in general. Thanks for the years of support.
Members:
- Jared Busch - guitar, vocals
- Mike Wallace - guitar, vocals
- Sarah Osborne - bass
- Trey Deuce - drums
Releases:
- There's a demo out there somewhere. A full length was recorded but never released because Capitalism Records disappeared quicker than they could alienate themselves from EVERYTHING and EVERYONE and it never got mixed. Fuck you.
Compilations:
- Better Day's Cheap Thrills Vol. 3
Shirts/Merch:
- Unmixed copies available, email treyhatesyou@earthlink.net for one. The demo is long gone as far as I know.
