"The Wall" referres not to the Pink Floyd album, but to the low brick wall somewhat in front of Mid City Mall on Bardstown Road, right across from the Bardstown/Longest Ave. intersection. It has been a favorite spot for kids to gather (skaters especially) for years. It was a way more popular spot up until 97-98 when the cops started getting bold and running kids off and citing them for hanging around.
