Better Days is a local record store that has released many records from Louisville bands such as Bush League, Son of Dog, and the Glasspack. The label itself hasn't been active for several years but both store locations remain active. Attempts have been made to resurrect the label though nothing has come of that as of 2024. Ben Jones is the owner of both locations.

In regards to the stores themselves the original Bardstown Rd location closed March 2005 after being active since 1987. A location at Lyles Mall near the West End remained active though that location leans heavily into jazz, soul, hip-hop and gospel. Better Days West has been active for many years and would be active as the Bardstown location had closed. The Bardstown Better Days would re-open in 2010, at one point speculated to be a response to Ear X-Tacy moving out of it's iconic Bardstown Road space. This location would remain active until 2022 when they would move to Barret Ave for expanded space.

Since 2024, Athena Prychodko has been hosting "Thrashers & Destroyers" shows at the Barret Ave. space featuring various metal bands.
