it's a Bill Terry world.

Indeed it is. I was privileged enough to live in Bill Terry's world for a while as his roommate in the house on Everett Ave. where It's A Bill Terry World was filmed. Bill's enlightenment was obvious and infectious. He basically introduced me to psychedelia, both as a musical genre and as a personal philosophy. It was not uncommon to find a slice of cheese nailed to the wall or Bill trapped in your car after a night's adventure. Some of my most satisfying times playing music occurred in Bill's bedroom with a broken down assortment of instruments and toys, a random troupe of misfits, and Bill conducting. 'If You Don't Love Me, Just Lie' is the most heart rending piece of music I have ever heard. 'I So Scared', 'Umbrella Boy', and 'I Took Your Beat' rank among the most joyous, twisted and absurd. Actually, the entirety of 'The Second Hatefull Masterpiece Album' is my favorite recording ever produced by a Louisville person or band. I could go on for hours about my friend Bill, but it would take too much E-word.
