Liner notes
Hello new and old friends! It means so much to us that anyone would care about what we made in basements, living rooms, and currently Cory's attic. We never anticipated the kind of love and support that we have been lucky enough to recieve. To everyone who has helped us out in any way... you keep us going. I've heard people say that we restored their faith in punk or hardcore but its the same people that restore our faith daily. Thanks for teaching us over and over that if your trying to do something for the right reasons... you will find the help you need to make it happen. Now I know people always want our lyrics but to us it's more important that you understand what the songs are about and then respond with your own words. We can't stress this enough... sing something that comes from you, not from us.
No has never had 3 letters - a song about rape. we sing it from different views as we are affected by it in different ways.
Bullshit Buffet - keep this personal, don't make it a business, make it a passion.
I Wish I dind't hate myself.com - The internet has replaced actual interation. It's a crutch. None of us are above it. We wish we were.
Short walks down long roads - this song was written after the death of a friend. I wish it didn't have words so noone could cheapen them.
Cops - a response to police brutality. written after the death of James Taylor.
Death wears a necktie - we hate our jobs.
Say Something - Please say something.
One - This song is about everything and anything. Life
Butterfly Effect - a song about friendship.
Honestly, your words are just as important as our... use them! If you want to read ours go to www.kodanarmada.tk. thank you all! Thanks Brent we love you!!!

From Bandcamp
"A Collection of Songs" is a mostly-complete discography collection from Louisville, Kentucky's Kodan Armada (the exception being a few demo tracks from self-released CD-R's). The band existed between 2000-2004 and played a highly-charged brand of chaotic hardcore, right down to always having (at least) two singers. This era marked a period where "screamo" became the nomenclature for such a style.
In Louisville, the band would typically play the now defunct community center called the Brycc House, Keswick, and house shows over on East Breckinridge Street. Along with the Breather Resist/Black Widow/BlackCross/Coliseum family of bands, they were instrumental in bringing in and hosting countless DIY bands from around the country. Outside of Louisville, Kodan Armada toured with Breather Resist and Coliseum on the "Maximum Louisville" package as well as a full US tour with This Ship Will Sink.
The original version of this release was a compact disc on Magic Bullet Records, issued in June of 2004. All copies were in silkscreened ecopaks and numbered out of 1000.
