The Swiss Hall
From Louisville Punk/Hardcore History
Located in the southern part of Germantown near Eastern Parkway and Preston Highway, the Swiss hall was in the olden days a meeting hall for those of Swiss and German decent.. kind of a community center. With Americans losing their previous cultural identities as generations move on, the center has gotten less and less use over the years for that purpose, and became open to events such as punk rock shows to help pay the bills.
Swiss Hall was eventually remodeled and folded into the 'Swiss Village' development.
