Two Witnesses - Achilles Heel
I've feel off the wagon, I've won on bluffs I've hurt more people than I've ever loved I've spoiled the riches the few times they've come Wasted time with lots of drugs Never been on to point the finger Before I cast stones at my feet first As time goes on and I get cleaner The longing, it just gets worse You don't know my pain You don't know my grief What could you offer That could bring relief People always wondering why Would you throw away so much Just to get high Hate to be the bearer of bad news But in the end it just feels that good Don't tell me about the potential I had I threw it all out with my self respect Knock me down, get back up again I'm walking the line the best I can Something this good shouldn't exist It was made in God's image I've sworn it off more times than I can count It's like striking gold when it's around Chance that this will be the death of me Still I press my luck cause the feeling it brings I hope one day I get my head straight Before I end up sealing my own fate I'll roll the dice Should have thought twice
