Churels started as a two-piece hardcore band in summer 2006. After Camps slowly dissolved, Jake (drums) and Danny (guitar) decided to continue their quest to thrash, while trying to experiment more and challenge themselves musically.Upon moving to Louisville they added their roommate/somerset transplant Micah as second guitarist. They played 10 minute sets of the most intense and honest music they could make, drawing influences from bands like Orchid, pg. 99, and even some Fugazi and The Nerve Agents.
