The Flats were a power trio that started out under the name Fever Pitch during the summer of 1994. The band's core consisted of Evan Bailey (currently of Second Story Man) on vocals/guitar, Jeremy Irving (also currently with Second Story Man) on bass and Jason Anderson (later played in Grand Prize and The Big Bang) on drums. Sadly, Evan, Jeremy and Jason only played about 10 shows together before the band's summer of '96 demise. Before the break up, The Flats ventured into the studio to record three songs with sound engineer, Kevin Brownstein (Kinghorse). The end result was one all three members were eager to share with their hand full of fans. The songs were supposed to be released as a 7" on Ryan Stratton's label, Louisville Records, but for one reason or another it didn't happen.
