Nelligan Hall is located at 2010 Portland Avenue between 20th and 22nd, near the 22nd Street exit off I-64. It is in the historic Portland neighborhood of Louisville, not very far from Unique Thrift Store. It is co-owned by Aron Conaway, Hallie Jones and several Portland Residents. The Hall used to be the center of the Democratic machine in Louisville and served as a social meeting Hall for the locals. It served at one time as a theater and also hosted many Vaudeville Shows. Nelligan Hall is located in Louisville's Historic Portland Neighborhood at 2010 Portland Avenue, one block east of the I-64 22nd Street exit (also directly adjacent to the Falls of the Ohio and Shippingport Island). The old North End Social Club is owned by artists Aron Conaway, Hallie Jones, who after 4 years of partial ownership, have bought our their partners, are repairing & transforming this historic social hall into an artists' collective space.  


The first show booked there was booked by [[Scott Carney]] November 4, 2005 with [[Scott Carney and the Heavy Friends ]], [[the Slow Break]],  and [[ The Dirty Faces (Pittsburgh, PA)]].
In the 1930's the hall served as the local center of the Democratic Party in the machine politics era. It also served as a meeting place for the local neighbors. In the early 20th centuryit was a theater building and hosted Vaudeville Shows.

In 2013, Nelligan would begin a curated series known as the CHIME series, featuring four bands and one visual artist each month. Nelligan would host shows up until 2015, with rare exceptions.
