Sweatermeat was a garage punk band founded in 2012 by Yoko and Maxwell. Initially played as just a duo but later got a drummer. Self-released an album and a few other oddities on Yoko's home imprint Eviction Records. A lot of their live shows would have themes and silly visuals.
The band also had a knack for doing 50s/60s covers and on one occasion at Modern Cult Records performed the entirety of "The Velvet Underground & Nico".
Played their last show in December 2019 when Maxwell had a kid and wanted to focus on being a dad.
